Text Box: Membership

Thank You for your interest in the Gateway Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Inc. We are an all volunteer and a non-profit organization under the 501 © 3 code of the Internal Revenue. Our memberships is open to all regardless of sexual orientation, race, religion, physical limitation, sex or martial status.

We are more than just another non profit all volunteer community service organization, We Are Sisters, We Are Not Mocking our traditional counterparts, We Are 21st century NUNS, we have taken on that role for our LGBT community.

Most often the Sisters and Guards are often seen out in the community having a good time, looking fabulous and enjoying ourselves. However, what is not often seen is the great deal of hard work, energy, skills, personal time and dedication that each Sister and Guard offers.

The Sisters and Guards are often busy with attending, hosting, producing fundraising events for charities and not for profit organization within our community, but we do more than just looking fabulous and fundraising, We as Sisters and Guards are “Dedicated to the Promulgation of Universal Joy and the Expiation of Stigmatic Guilt, Public Manifestation, Habitual Perpetration, Community Service and Outreach by Protecting, Promoting Human and Civil Rights” and Respect for the Individuals and by bringing about a better understanding of Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Transgender and Non-Gay Individuals Spirituality.

One of Our main ministries is educating, encouragement and promoting “SAFER SEX” practices of individuals within our LGBT community, we provide SAFER SEX kits to individuals as we manifest within our community. We provide community resources and outreach information for family members and those who are living and or affected by HIV/AIDS.

Most of all we like to have fun while volunteering our time and efforts in charity work.

There are four steps to becoming a Sister or Guard and the entire process takes at least one year. All interested individuals have the choice of being either a Sister or a Guard. The Guards play a vital role of the Order, they are the protectors of the Sisters, and they are the ones that we turn to for help in all aspects of our organization.

Aspirant
Aspirancy begins when you declare your intent to join at one of our general membership meetings; during this time you should be developing relationships with the Sisters and Guards, participating in our events and watching how we work and operate.

Postulant
As a Postulant, you are a Member of the Order although you still have no voting rights.

Novice Sister/Guard
The Novitiate begins to manifest the outward appearance of a Sister. A Novice wears the whiteface and wimple, although he/she is only allowed to wear a pure white veil. Despite this, the general public still perceives you to be a Sister and your interactions will radically change. As a Novice Guard you will also manifest the outward appearance of a Guard, wearing whiteface with a more masculine design.

Fully Professed (Black Veil)
This is the last step in the formal process of becoming a Sister, BUT it is the first step towards being a Sister.

If you are interested in joining the Order, we recommend that you fill out the membership form below and we also encourage you attend one of our regular general meetings and events, observe Sisters and Guards in action and engage them in conversation. By getting to know the Sisters and Guards can serve you well as you move through the process.
